Goanna Golf Snake Ball Run Process

This is how we made it

Goanna Golf Snake Ball Run – Point Walter

The design of the ball run needed to enable the ball to traverse from an upper level, across a waterfall and pool feature and down to a lower level.

Artforms devised an open, caged design so that the ball would be fully visible on its journey. The stainless steel snake ‘body’ twists and turns en-route before the ball emerges from the mouth of the snake. Care was taken at all stages of the design and fabrication to ensure that the ball ran smoothly and was unhindered as it descended.

Artforms initially modelled the snake head and mouth in paper to develop a design which could be created by cutting and folding a sheet of stainless steel. This was attached to the ball run. Visits to site and careful measurements meant that the ball run and fit perfectly first time and the ball was discharged correctly onto the lower green.

Artforms delivered and installed the artwork. Artforms supported four other local small to medium sized businesses in the creation of this artwork.
