Plaques and Plinths
Whether used to accompany an artwork, as an independent informational device, or as an artwork in their own right, we have produced a vast array of plaques and plinths which stand the test of time
Our plaques have been made from bronze, ceramics, granite and vitreous enamel.
We use the patented online design system available at forevershining.com.au to design and instantly price our plaques.
Our bronze plaque designs are then sent directly to our Australian foundry. We use only the best quality marine grade bronze to insure the highest degree of durability.
We laser etch our own granite plaques in house using our flatbed laser. They can include photographic quality images, text and even Braille and QR codes.
Our ceramic plaques can be used if colour is required. We design the plaques and work with our ceramic partner to produce them.
Vitreous enamel plaques have excellent durability as well as lasting colour. Modern manufacture techniques have further improved the life expectancy of this exceptional material. We also use vitreous enamel to create kitchen splash-backs, and fireplace hearths, bringing artwork to private homes.
Pioneer’s Memorial
The Pioneers Memorial was created for The City of Cockburn and opened by the Mayor on November 12th, 2016. The Pioneers Memorial is a sandstone plinth 1.2 metres high with two premium cast bronze plaques. Both materials keep in tone with the earthy feel of the memorial grounds. One plaque is recessed on the slant of the plinth with all the information regarding the area. The second plaque on top of the plinth re-quotes the information in Braille so that those who are vision impaired can also read it.
Why Bronze?
Bronze is durable and offers a traditional and dignified look for your plaque. Raised lettering also makes it easy to read.
Sandstone Pioneer Plinth
This sandstone plinth was made for the official opening of a new building in the City of Cockburn.
Granite Inlaid Plinth
This plinth is an example of half polished, half bush hammered finish with a premium black granite inlay at the top. The granite inlay can be laser etched with inscriptions and photographic quality images. Laser etching is durable, has a lifetime guarantee on structure and inscription.
