Sir Charles Gairdner Mortuary Complex Peace Gardens
Garden of Remembrance
In May 2013 Peter Farmer worked with architect Andy Boyatzis to revitalise the Peace Gardens at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. The aim was to create an area of peace, quiet contemplation and remembrance for family members and friends to visit.
Corten Steel Screen
We worked with Peter to adapt his designs to enable them to be cut with a laser. Large screens laser cut with Peter’s designs were fabricated by us from corten steel. They screened the garden from the rest of the hospital, achieving the privacy required.
We also designed and fabricated the stainless steel light bollards which were laser cut with Peter’s designs to allow light to permeate. These beautiful bollards replaced the pre-existing, mass produced plastic bollards previously occupying the site.
