The curvature of the benches and the granite leaf were initially plotted out to suit the dimensions of the installation pad.
The stainless steel was cut to size and rolled to our specifications.
The frames were fully welded.
The merbau was cut to size and shape to create the curve of the seats. The wood was thoroughly washed to prevent leaching of tannins prior to varnishing.
Careful dimensions were taken of the rear of the benches and cutting files were produced.
The aluminium was cut to shape, finished and anodised in black.
Carol Stevens’ designs were laser etched onto the anodised aluminium.
The rear panels were accurately mounted onto the stainless steel frames.
Finally, the merbau seating and curved stainless steel armrests were added ready for installation.
