Bibra Lake Regional Playground

We worked closely with the City of Cockburn to create the award winning Bibra Lake Regional Playground, which opened November 12th 2016. This huge and diverse playground has many elements which we brought to life – from bespoke car park lighting to the durable and child-safe creations inside.

Entry Gates

Children and parents alike, step through the giant gates into a magical play area, consisting of a Flying Fox, a mound with an underground crawlspace, reeds which squirt water, giant fish traps, A family of giant turtles and plenty of places to climb, traverse and explore. There are also shady areas and barbeques for family picnics.

A bespoke surround made from high grade steel, epoxy enameled in premium exterior interpol vibrant colour. Presise measurments were used to create the orb`s customised shape. One of a kind.

Hobbit Hill Doors

Four Hobbit Hill Headwalls Tunnel entrances in corten steel with aluminum power-coated butterfly and dragonfly decoration, including a combined marine grade wood and corten laser engraved entrance door.

Squirting Reeds

Fourteen Reeds made from high grade stainless steel in four sizes, from 2.4 – 3.6 metres high, each with individual curve radius. All powder coated in premium exterior interpol colours to suit the watery feel. The reeds contain a movement activated water spray system which is timed for water efficiency.

A nest of three giant turtles is located near the Squirting Reeds in water play area.

Signage

We created the signage for the Bibra Lake Regional Playground. Information included opening and closing times and details of the creative play structures. It also displays information about the surrounding native lands and local wildlife which is endemic to the area.

The signage is a full colour life-time image with a 10 year guarantee, attached to a stainless frame which is powder coated in exterior interpol colour which matches a colour used inside the playground.
